Single Panel Cotinine (COT) Home Urine Test Kit
The Cotinine home drug test is a single panel kit used by individuals who want to evaluate their toxin levels right in the comfort of their homes. These single panel kits are also accessible in the market these days for Marijuana, Oxycodone, Cocaine, Opiates, and Methamphetamine testing. They function just like an actual urine laboratory drug test. In fact, these home drug tests are known for their high accuracy in detecting the presence of drug metabolites in the system. However, it is not suitable for testing the efficiency of drug detoxification products.
Cotinine is considered a reliable biological marker in determining the levels of nicotine since it is the primary metabolite of nicotine. With its cut-off level marked at 200ng/ml, nicotine components can be easily detected within two to three days after smoking.
Directions:
- Once you are ready to perform the test, get the pouch and open it by tearing at the notch
- Remove the testing device including the sample dropper from the foil pouch
- Catch urine in a sterile disposable cup
- Hold the dropper in a vertical position and dispense about 3 drops of urine in a careful manner into the sample well which is marked “S” of the drug testing kit
Typically, the result will be available in 5 minutes. The test kit indicates two color lines. Apparently, the control line is located in the “C” region of the test device and the test line is found in the “T” region of the test area.
A line in the control region indicates a positive test.
If both the control and test lines become visible, then the test result is negative. If the test line is lighter than the control line, this is still regarded as a negative test.
In case the line in the control region does not appear after five minutes, the test is considered invalid. You can repeat the testing procedure and confirm the result using a new drug test kit. |
